Dad, it has now been a year since I sat next to you and heard you let go and take your last breaths. It was with mixed feelings that I saw you leave this earthly life. It was and is a relief that you got your rest and escaped the disease that took over you, your life, and your mind—Alzheimer's. But most of all, I wish you were still alive and had 10, 20, or 30 more years with us, healthy and with your sense of humor intact. With this fundraiser, I want to support the Alzheimer's Foundation and their work.
